My Want List 4

Now as soon as you see this picture you are probably going to think "Wow this guy wants this game?  We will not take him seriously anymore".  Well it is not this specific game that I want, but a new console version of Pokemon, and I don't mean Pokemon Rumble.  I want a game that will give me the experience that I am playing right now in Pokemon Y on the big screen.  I am not saying let's blow the game up and render it in HD and add a few options, no, that is not the way to go about doing it.  This game would have to be built from the ground up.  Unlike Gale of Darkness where it was just an add-on to Pokemon Stadium.

This game Pokemon ??? can be a game that takes place in some unknown world, or could even take place in a world we know and love, or maybe in all of the worlds what we have discovered through the years.  Kind of something like Gold and Silver did once you beat everyone in Johto, you had the opportunity to go to Kanto.  So make a game that brings Kanto, Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova and Kalos into the 3D realm.
One thing that would really need to be changed is get rid of the fixed camera.  I know that having a fixed camera probably makes development a lot easier, but it just isn't the fun.  You should be able to see the playing field from any angle, not just from above your head.
I do think that the battle system should stay unchanged.  Keep it so you wait until you have your attack picked out before the battle continues.  This is one game that does not need to change to a real time battle system.  Sure real time battles are fun, but that is not Pokemon.
One thing that could probably change is, let's say you use the move pound and in any Pokemon game to date your Pokemon would do some swiping in his area and somehow the other Pokemon would receive damage, let's change that.  Make it so when you use an attack that your Pokemon actually goes over to the other Pokemon and does some damage to it.
Another thing.  I think we are well beyond the point, especially with all of the anime episodes out there, that we need to continue using noises for the Pokemon.  I don't know why Pikachu was the only Pokemon to receive this special treatment in X and Y, it is a nice break, but we need more.  You can take clips from the anime, make them sound better and fit them into the game.
I am thinking random battles can stay, sure most games are getting rid of random battles and you can see your enemy on the screen, but the not know of when a Pokemon is going to come and attack you is part of the experience.  Or if they would make it so you can see wild Pokemon make it into a nondescript form so we would have no idea what it is.  So in a way we are still having a random encounter.

One thing that I think would be awesome would be this.  You know how there are those parks and you pay some money and catch specific Pokemon with those specific balls, do away with that.  And instead make those parks into something like Pokemon Snap.  Would it not be awesome if you were riding around and you saw a Blastoise in full rendered HD beauty just sitting there for your viewing pleasure and you had to get a picture of it.  Depending on how many Pokemon you captured and how well you scored you should be able to get a Pokemon as a prize.  Very specific ones that can not be found any where else in the game.  Maybe like the ones that are version specific on X and Y.

So you know how console games have been able to link with the portable game counterparts.  That needs to be in here too.  Make it possible to be able to catch all of the Pokemon without the need to buy the opposite version for the 3DS.  Make it possible to catch very rare ones that don't show up in either version.  Make it possible to have the time of your life.

Then if a new Pokemon game comes out for the handheld all they would need to do is have DLC for the game to update it.  Probably would be a huge update, but DLC is an easy thing to do rather than make a brand new game.

And this is one game that I want.
